Responsibilities
- Manage the app scrum teams in Dubai and foster a supportive and productive environment
- Oversee the Build Operate Transfer (BOT) of key staff within these teams
- Work with Software Engineering Managers to ensure consistency and robust support for all teams
- Set a clear vision for the teams and craft a strategic growth plan
- Partner with Senior Engineering Manager peers to ensure effective collaboration
- Work with SVP and Head of App to agree and deliver broader App objectives and goals
- Identify new technologies, tools and working practices to improve standards
Requirements
- Minimally 10 years of experience in Software/App development with 4 years of people management experience
- Strong mobile engineering background as either an iOS or Android specialist
- If iOS focused: Deep proficiency in Swift, MVVM, RxSwift, SwiftUI, Combine
- If Android focused: Strong expertise in Kotlin, with hands on experience in Volley, RxJava, and Dagger
- Proven track record leading teams that build and ship large scale mobile applications serving millions of users
- Demonstrated experience working with Agile methodologies
- Comfortable managing and collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones
- Strong leadership capabilities including talent development and technical decision making

About the Role
- We own and develop the MyDyson app with 3+ million active users and 8+ million connected machines.
- There are 11 scrum teams worldwide working on the MyDyson app.
- We are looking for a Senior Software Engineering Manager (Mobile App) to provide technical and strategic leadership across app scrum teams in Dubai.
What You'll Do
- Manage the app scrum teams in Dubai and foster a supportive and productive environment.
