Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance Java web services.
• Coordinate with front-end developers to ensure seamless web service integration.
• Build RESTful APIs for client-side and server-side communication.
• Maintain web service robustness, reliability, and security through best practices and standards.
• Improve performance and scalability through caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality software.
• Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards.
• Stay informed about Java and web services technologies and trends.

Requirements

• 6 to 8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years of strong Java proficiency, is required.
• Strong web services engineering knowledge, including RESTful APIs, is required.
• Hands-on Spring Boot experience for building and deploying web services is required.
• Strong web security expertise, including Spring Security and JWT, is required.
• Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, Hibernate, and ORM frameworks is required.
• Linux command-line experience for development and operational tasks is required.
• Strong knowledge of web security concepts and best practices is required.
• Proficiency with Git and ADO is required.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes is required.
• Experience with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java desktop applications is required.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills are required.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher is required.

Nice to Have

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of Angular is preferred.
• Experience with microservices architecture is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Background in Agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Certification in Java programming or related technologies is preferred.
