Senior Software Engineer - Java with Cloud - AWS

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance Java web services.
• Coordinate with front-end developers to integrate web services into applications.
• Build RESTful APIs for client-side and server-side communication.
• Maintain web service robustness, reliability, and security through engineering best practices.
• Improve performance and scalability using caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Stay informed about Java and web services technologies and trends.

Required Qualifications

• 6–8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years of strong Java proficiency.
• Good understanding of web services engineering and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for web service development and deployment.
• Expertise in Spring Security, JWT, web security concepts, and security best practices.
• Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, Hibernate, and ORM frameworks.
• Ability to use Linux commands for development and operational tasks.
• Proficiency with Git and ADO version control tools.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java desktop applications.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level, B2, or higher.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Angular and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Agile development methodologies, or relevant Java certification.
