Senior Software Engineer - Java with Cloud - AWS

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Engineer scalable and high-performance web services using Java.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate web services into web applications.
• Implement RESTful APIs for client-side and server-side communication.
• Apply best practices and standards to improve robustness, reliability, and security.
• Optimize services for performance and scalability using caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers to deliver software solutions.
• Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain coding standards.
• Stay current with trends and technologies in Java development and web services.

Requirements

• 6-8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years of strong proficiency in Java.
• Strong understanding of web services development practices, including RESTful APIs.
• Experience using Spring Boot to build and deploy web services.
• Proven expertise in Spring Security and JWT for authentication and authorization.
• Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and ORM frameworks such as Hibernate.
• Comfort working with Linux commands in a development environment.
• Knowledge of web security principles and best practices.
• Experience with Git and ADO version control workflows.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Capability to use Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java desktop applications.
• Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of Angular is preferred.
• Experience with microservices architecture is preferred.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
• Background in Agile development methodologies is preferred.
• Certification in Java programming or related technologies is preferred.
