Role Overview
Senior Software Engineer role focused on building scalable and secure web services using Java and cloud platforms.
Collaborates with multinational engineering and stakeholder teams on innovative software projects.
Responsibilities
- Engineer scalable and high-performance web services using Java.
- Integrate web services into web applications with front-end developers.
- Implement RESTful APIs for client-side and server-side communication.
- Apply security, reliability, and robustness best practices.
- Optimize services using caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers.
- Perform code reviews and maintain coding standards.
- Stay current with Java development and web service technologies.
Requirements
- Six to eight years of IT experience, including at least six years of strong Java proficiency.
- Strong web services development knowledge, including RESTful APIs and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Spring Security, JWT, SQL, stored procedures, Hibernate, Linux, Git, and ADO workflows.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Capability to work with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java desktop applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and teamwork skills.
- English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Angular and microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
- Background in Agile development methodologies or certification in Java programming or related technologies.
