Collaborate across roles to deliver RESTful APIs, apply security practices, and improve performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-throughput Java web services.
- Partner with front-end engineers to integrate services into web applications.
- Create RESTful APIs for client-to-server interactions.
- Apply practices that keep services robust, reliable, and secure.
- Tune services using caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers.
- Review code, provide feedback, and maintain coding standards.
- Monitor relevant Java and web services technologies.
Requirements
- 6–8 years of IT experience with at least 6 years of strong Java proficiency.
- Strong web services and RESTful API development experience.
- Spring Boot experience for creating and deploying web services.
- Spring Security and JWT authentication and authorization experience.
- SQL, stored procedures, and Hibernate or similar ORM experience.
- Linux command-line experience for development and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of web security principles.
- Git, ADO, and Azure DevOps workflow experience.
- Experience with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java desktop applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, teamwork, and collaboration skills.
- English proficiency at B2 level or above.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Angular, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, Docker, Kubernetes, or Agile development.
- Certification in Java programming or related technologies.
