Senior Software Engineer - Java with Cloud - AWS

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable, high-performance Java web services.
• Coordinate with front-end developers on web service integration.
• Build RESTful APIs for client-side, server-side, and application communication.
• Maintain web service robustness, reliability, and security through engineering standards.
• Improve performance and scalability using caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers.
• Conduct code reviews and uphold coding standards.
• Stay informed about Java and web services technologies and trends.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years of strong Java proficiency.
• Good understanding of web services engineering and RESTful APIs.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot for building and deploying web services.
• Strong expertise in Spring Security, JWT, and web security practices.
• Working experience with SQL, stored procedures, Hibernate, and ORM frameworks.
• Ability to use Linux commands for development and operational tasks.
• Proficiency with Git and ADO version control tools.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java desktop applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate (B2) level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Angular.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in Agile development methodologies.
• Certification in Java programming or related technologies.
