Senior Software Engineer - Java with Cloud - AWS

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable, high-performance Java web services.
• Integrate web services with web applications alongside front-end developers.
• Deliver RESTful APIs for client-server communication.
• Apply standards and best practices for reliability, robustness, and security.
• Optimize performance with caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Partner with product managers, architects, and QA engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Stay current with Java and web services developments.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of IT experience, including at least 6 years of strong Java proficiency.
• Experience developing web services and RESTful APIs with Spring Boot.
• Expertise in Spring Security, JWT, authentication, authorization, and web security.
• Knowledge of SQL, stored procedures, Hibernate, and ORM frameworks.
• Proficiency with Linux commands and version control systems including Git and ADO.
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Ability to work with Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java Desktop Applications.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration abilities.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or above.

Nice to have

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of Angular, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform is preferred.
• Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Agile methodologies, or Java-related certification is preferred.
