Senior Software Engineer - Java with Cloud - AWS

Role Overview

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable, high-throughput web services in Java.
• Partner with front-end engineers to connect web services into applications.
• Create RESTful APIs for client-to-server interactions.
• Apply best practices for robust, reliable, and secure services.
• Tune services using caching, load balancing, and database optimization.
• Collaborate with product managers, architects, and QA engineers.
• Review code, provide feedback, and enforce coding standards.
• Monitor relevant industry updates and new technologies.

Required Experience and Skills

• Six to eight years of IT experience, including at least six years of strong Java proficiency.
• Strong experience building web services and RESTful APIs.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot for creating and deploying web services.
• Experience implementing authentication and authorization with Spring Security and JWT.
• Experience with SQL, stored procedures, and Hibernate or similar ORM frameworks.
• Comfort using Linux commands for development and troubleshooting.
• Understanding of web security principles and recommended practices.
• Experience using Git and ADO for version control workflows.
• Ability to leverage Swing, AWT, JavaFX, and Java desktop applications.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
• Upper-Intermediate English proficiency at B2 level or above.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of Angular.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Background in Agile development methodologies and related Java or technology certification.
