Role Overview
Join EPAM as a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java and Spring Boot within a global Agile finance team.
Contribute to complete systems development and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions with business stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full systems development lifecycle, including requirements, coding, testing, UAT, deployment, and maintenance.
- Create technical designs, testing strategies, and implementation roadmaps.
- Translate business requirements into workflows, data specifications, and implementation plans.
- Develop unit and integration tests for reliable, resilient software.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and teams to identify reusable shared solutions.
Core Requirements
- Five to eight years of experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, RESTful Services, Kafka, and Gradle or Maven.
- Strong analytical, programming, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with SQL and/or MongoDB, microservices, Splash, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and Logstash.
- Background in test-driven development using JUnit, Mockito, and Cucumber.
- Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, software design principles, and full-stack technical development.
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with Guava and JodaTime across development, build, and deployment phases.
- Practical development experience in Java, Python, or Scala with both relational and NoSQL data stores.
- Experience presenting technical and business information in a global organization.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with DocuSign.
- Experience with distributed caching solutions such as Geode, Ignite, and Cassandra.
- Genuine interest in the finance sector.
