Role Overview
Fitch Ratings is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for AI Innovation teams in Toronto.
The teams build production-grade AI-powered platforms and applications for financial analysis using proprietary data and modern technology.
The role owns critical application and infrastructure components, drives technical decisions and helps shape transformative AI platforms.
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and lead scalable full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, Python and React.
- Own architecture for interfaces, backend services, APIs and infrastructure.
- Lead integration architecture for generative AI, LLMs and intelligent automation.
- Establish engineering practices, conduct code reviews, improve CI/CD and manage technical debt.
- Influence technical strategy across ML engineering, product and business stakeholder teams.
- Mentor engineers, lead design reviews and build engineering capabilities.
