Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Manchester)

What You Need to Have

• At least 5 years of experience as a machine learning or AI engineer.
• Production-quality Python development experience is essential.
• Deep understanding of agentic AI systems and multi-agent architectures.
• Proficiency in machine learning and deep learning algorithms, including NLP and neural networks.
• Experience building generative AI frameworks and leveraging or fine-tuning large language models.
• Experience building or enhancing search and information retrieval systems.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS EKS.
• Knowledge of AWS and Azure infrastructure and services, including Bedrock, S3, SageMaker, Azure AI Search, Azure OpenAI, and Azure Blob Storage.
• Master's degree or above in machine learning, data science, computer science, applied mathematics, or another research-based field.

Additional Qualifications

• Passion for using data and predictive analytics to improve business outcomes is desirable.
• Experience working effectively in a distributed, fast-paced environment is desirable.
• Familiarity with credit ratings agencies, regulations, and global data products is desirable.
• Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and teamwork skills are desirable.

Workplace

• The position is based out of Fitch's London or Manchester office.
