Role Overview
Fitch Ratings is hiring a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python programming or applications.
The role supports applications built with Python and cloud platforms for Fitch ratings workflow systems.
Objectives and Tasks
- Develop, test, and maintain high-quality Python software.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex problems.
- Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and scalable code.
- Set up CI/CD pipelines and support production systems.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile processes, and technical best-practice development.
Required Qualifications
- At least 8 years of experience as a Python Developer.
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of Python stacks, ecosystems, frameworks, and automation.
- Experience with front-end development, AWS, and Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL technologies.
- Experience with GitHub, Bamboo, JIRA, and related delivery tools.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
