The position is based in Huntsville, Alabama and is classified as onsite.
Workplace and clearance
- The role is onsite at the Huntsville, Alabama location.
- An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is required before the start date.
- Candidates must be U.S. citizens and able to obtain an interim DoD Secret clearance before starting.
What you will do
- Participate in collaborative, cross-discipline integrated product teams.
- Use Agile software development techniques to develop, test, and integrate complex software and systems solutions.
- Assist with requirements, design, development, and testing of real-time embedded software, application software, and tools.
- Develop new work products and enhance existing applications and systems.
- Stay current with modern languages, artificial intelligence, DevSecOps, and related technologies.
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related degree.
- At least five years of relevant professional software programming experience in development, integration, and/or testing.
- Experience using C++, Java, Ada, or a similar object-oriented software language.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Agile methods such as Scrum, Scrum at Scale, SAFe, or test-driven development.
- Experience with Azure, Git, Atlassian Suite, Eclipse, or Ansible.
- Experience with multithreading, memory management, and performance optimization.
- Experience with shell scripting, software development tools, and debuggers.
- Experience with embedded systems, real-time systems, or large-scale applications.
- Experience with network protocols and embedded RTOS platforms such as VxWorks or Integrity.
- Familiarity with leading a small team and tracking delivery progress.
Compensation
- The stated salary range is 86,800 USD to 165,200 USD.
- Additional incentive compensation may be available, but payments are not guaranteed.
