Responsibilities
- Responsible for the most complex technical work in environmental, health and safety disciplines to achieve compliance with ES&H standards and regulations
- Maintain expert knowledge of specific government agency requirements
- Utilize advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of environmental principles
- Develop, implement and maintain safety and health programs, systems and procedures
- Monitor and prevent hazards and diseases in the work area
- Investigate accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards
- Recommend improvements in processes, design, procedures and operating equipment to minimize hazards
- Develop and conduct employee training and emergency preparedness
- Provide regulatory interpretation and technical advice
- Prepare reports and recommend corrective action
- Act as a lead role for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree / higher diploma (from metadata)
- 5+ years of experience (from metadata)
- Expert knowledge of specific government agency requirements
- Advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of environmental principles
- Ability to work under minimal supervision

Job Description
- Under minimal supervision, responsible for the most complex technical work in a wide range of environmental, health and safety disciplines.
- Maintains expert knowledge of specific government agency requirements.
- Utilizes advanced techniques and diversified knowledge of environmental principles.
- Assignments are usually self initiated.
- Uses independent judgment and discretion in data analysis and problem resolution.

- Investigates accidents, injuries, and complaints concerning hazards in the workplace.

- Provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice.
- Prepares reports and recommends corrective action.
- Work includes technical responsibility for a major phase or component of a project.
- Acts as a lead role for a team of ES&H specialists and/or support personnel.
