About the Role
AECOM is hiring a Manager - Planning in Abu Dhabi to oversee planning and scheduling for large-scale construction projects. You will review contractor programmes, conduct critical path analysis, provide progress reports, and support claims and dispute resolution.

Responsibilities
- Understand work scope, quantity, and logical sequencing of construction disciplines
- Provide detailed review, analysis, and monitoring of procurement and construction programmes with CPM analysis
- Work closely with contractor planners to monitor and amend baseline programme
- Provide progress reports, graphs, and critical path analysis for monthly and weekly reports
- Report risks, opportunities, and mitigation strategies to Project Lead
- Review actual progress against construction programme and report to Project Lead
- Advise Project Lead on potential delay events
- Attend site and convene workshops to update actual progress
- Conduct independent site visits to evaluate contractor's progress
- Support Cost Control Team in understanding programme risks and opportunities
- Maintain records to support evaluation of contractor claims and variations
- Provide assistance during negotiations, arbitration, or dispute resolution
Requirements
- Minimum 20 years demonstrable experience in supervision and project administration of planning works for large scale projects in Middle East consulting industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Job Description
- Understanding work scope, quantity and familiar with logical sequencing of construction disciplines.
- Providing detailed review, analysis and monitoring of the procurement and construction programmes with Critical path Method analysis.
- Working closely on a day to day basis with the planners of the contractor to monitor and/or amend the Contractor’s baseline programme of Work.
- Providing progress reports, graphs and critical path analysis for the monthly and weekly progress reports.
- Reporting to the Project Lead any risks, opportunities and any mitigation strategies.
- Reviewing actual progress against the construction programme and prepare and report to the Project Lead.
- Advise Project Lead for any early warning in regard to potential delay events.
- Attending site and convening workshops with the site supervision team as necessary.
- Conducting independent site visits to evaluate the contractor’s site progress.
- Providing support to the Cost Control Team in understanding the programme risks and opportunities.
- Maintaining records of monitoring of the programme to enable input and support to the Project Lead and Cost Control Team.
- Providing assistance during negotiations, arbitration, or any other forms of dispute resolution.
Qualifications
- Minimum 20 years demonstrable experience in all aspects of supervision and project administration of the planning works related to large scale projects within Middle East in the consulting industry.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
