Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced and results driven Senior Sales Engineer to lead business development and sales activities for hydraulic products, systems, and fluid power solutions.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, providing technical and commercial solutions, and achieving sales growth across industrial, construction, marine, oil & gas, manufacturing, and mobile equipment sectors.
  • The ideal candidate should possess strong technical expertise in hydraulic systems combined with proven sales and account management experience.

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in assigned markets and industries.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with OEMs, contractors, end users, and distributors.
  • Conduct customer visits, technical presentations, and solution demonstrations.
  • Prepare and deliver technical and commercial proposals.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms with customers.
  • Develop key accounts and manage long term customer relationships.

Technical & Application Engineering

  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend suitable hydraulic solutions.
  • Provide technical support for: Hydraulic pumps, Hydraulic motors, Directional and proportional valves, Hydraulic cylinders, Hydraulic power units (HPUs), Filtration systems, Accumulators, Hydraulic hoses and fittings.
  • Review hydraulic schematics, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
  • Support system design discussions and troubleshooting activities.
  • Coordinate with engineering teams to develop customized hydraulic solutions.

Project & Commercial Management

  • Manage project inquiries from initial contact through order closure.
  • Prepare cost estimates, quotations, and bid documents.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and technical compliance.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure customer satisfaction throughout execution.

Market Development

  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and competitor activities.
  • Identify opportunities for introducing new hydraulic products and services.
  • Participate in industry exhibitions, technical seminars, and customer events.
  • Contribute to annual sales planning and forecasting activities.

Leadership & Mentoring

  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior sales engineers and inside sales teams.
  • Assist in training team members on hydraulic products and applications.
  • Share market intelligence and best practices with the sales team.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in hydraulic systems, fluid power products, or industrial technical sales.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing key customer accounts.
  • Strong technical understanding of hydraulic components, systems, and applications.
  • Ability to interpret hydraulic circuits, P&IDs, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Valid driving license (preferred for field sales roles).

Technical Knowledge Requirements

  • Hydraulic pumps (gear, vane, piston), Hydraulic motors, Control valves, Servo and proportional systems, Hydraulic cylinders, Power packs and HPU systems, Accumulators, Filters and filtration systems, Hoses, fittings, and connectors, Heat exchangers and cooling systems.
  • Applications: Construction equipment, Industrial machinery, Marine systems, Oil & gas equipment, Material handling systems, Mining equipment, Mobile hydraulics, Manufacturing automation.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong consultative and solution selling capabilities.
  • Experience handling large industrial projects and key accounts.
  • Knowledge of major hydraulic brands and industry standards.
  • Excellent negotiation and commercial management skills.
  • Strong presentation and communication abilities.
  • Experience in the UAE/GCC industrial market is highly desirable.
