Job Description
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the on site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution and adherence to timelines
- Conduct regular inspections of workmanship and materials to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specifications
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and ensure project success
- Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and change orders
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challenges
- Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to streamline project processes and enhance overall performance
- Implement and oversee sustainable construction practices and LEED certification processes
- Utilize BIM technology to improve project visualization, coordination, and efficiency
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports and presentations for stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 20 years of experience in building engineering, with a focus on managing large scale projects
- Proven track record in overseeing complex building projects in the Middle East
- In depth knowledge of UAE construction standards, regulations, and best practices
- Strong understanding of building development, construction methodologies, and quality control processes
- Excellent project management skills, including budget and schedule management
- Advanced problem solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail
- Outstanding leadership and team management skills
- Strong technical report writing and communication abilities
- Experience working in a fast paced environment and managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to work on site and travel as required for project needs
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in the UAE
