Overview
A leading bank in the UAE is looking to hire a Senior Regulatory Compliance professional to support advisory, regulatory engagement, and ongoing compliance across the organisation.
This role sits within the Compliance function, working closely with business units and regulators to ensure adherence to UAE regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Provide practical compliance advisory to business units on applicable regulations and internal policies
- Support the implementation and tracking of regulatory requirements across the bank
- Act as a point of contact for regulators, including the Central Bank of the UAE, coordinating regulatory communication and queries
- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business
- Maintain regulatory registers, including obligations tracking and implementation status
- Support regulatory reviews, examinations, and follow up on actions and findings
- Assist in the preparation and submission of regulatory reports
- Identify gaps in compliance frameworks and support remediation efforts
- Work closely with stakeholders across the bank to strengthen compliance practices and culture
Requirements
- 6 to 8 years’ experience within banking or financial services
- Experience within a UAE-based bank is essential
- Background in Regulatory Compliance Advisory
- Experience engaging with regulators and managing regulatory communication
- Strong understanding of UAE regulatory frameworks, including the Central Bank of the UAE
- Exposure to Emirates Securities and Commodities Authority and/or Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority is preferred
- Strong drafting, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to track regulatory requirements and support implementation across the business
- Professional certifications such as CAMS or ICA are advantageous
