- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks for Web/UI and API/Backend testing

- Validate database integrity and back end processes through advanced SQL queries and automation scripts

- Work closely with developers, architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to define test strategies
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to release planning
- Champion test automation adoption and innovation across the QA team
- Research, evaluate, and introduce new testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies
- Drive process improvements to reduce testing cycles and improve software delivery speed
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in QA and test automation
- Expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, Postman, JMeter
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Strong SQL skills for database testing and automation
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)
- Proven track record of designing and scaling automation frameworks
- Prior leadership/mentorship experience within QA teams
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus
- Exposure to blockchain or crypto based platforms is preferred

Job Purpose
- We are seeking a highly skilled Senior QA Automation Engineer with 10 years of experience in designing, developing, and executing automated testing frameworks for both Front end (Web/UI) and Back end (API/Database) systems.
- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in test automation, be proficient in both functional and non functional testing, and play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and scalability of our digital platforms.
- This role involves driving automation strategy, mentoring junior QA engineers, collaborating with cross functional teams, and continuously improving test processes in an Agile environment.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of robust automation frameworks for Web/UI (Front end) and API/Backend testing.
- Build, optimize, and execute automated regression and functional test suites across multiple platforms and environments.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.
- Conduct performance, load, and scalability testing for critical systems.
- Validate database integrity and back end processes through advanced SQL queries and automation scripts.
- Drive test coverage metrics, ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
- Experience with AI assisted testing tools and automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and defect detection.
- Strong hands on experience in both manual testing and automated testing, with the ability to determine the most effective testing approach based on project requirements.
- Work closely with developers, architects, product managers, and DevOps teams to define test strategies and improve quality.
- Mentor and coach junior QA engineers on automation best practices and frameworks.
- Act as a senior liaison between QA and senior management, providing clear reporting on test progress, risks, and quality status.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) and contribute to release planning.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in QA and test automation, with a strong focus on both Front end (Web/UI) and Back end (API/Database) testing.
- Proven track record of designing, implementing, and scaling automation frameworks.
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments with CI/CD integration.
- Prior leadership/mentorship experience within QA teams.
- Expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Rest Assured, Postman, JMeter.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, or similar).
- Strong SQL skills for database testing and automation.

Communications & Working Relations
- Reports to the QA Test Manager.
- Works collaboratively with product, development, DevOps, and support teams.
- Provides automation expertise and technical leadership within the QA team.
