Opportunity Overview

Dillon Consulting is seeking a Senior Project Manager for its national Project Management Office.

The role manages complex consulting projects and supports project managers with delivery, performance, and margin challenges.

The position may be based in several Dillon offices and offers flexible hours and hybrid work arrangements.

Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of complex, multidisciplinary projects for external clients.
  • Coordinate project teams across disciplines, clear roadblocks, and maintain delivery momentum.
  • Manage client communications, scope changes, project risks, budget forecasts, and margin protection.

Project Support and Coaching

  • Conduct root cause analysis with discipline leads on persistent negative project variances.
  • Intervene on higher-risk projects to mitigate losses, manage scope changes, and maintain appropriate reserves.
  • Coach and mentor project managers to improve delivery capability and manage increasingly complex work.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in engineering, environmental science, planning, business administration, or a related field is required.
  • A PMP designation is a strong asset.
  • Candidates need professional services acumen, strong communication, and proven problem-solving ability.

Experience

  • At least 10 years of project management experience in engineering, environmental, or planning consulting is required.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex or high-risk projects is required.
  • Experience with project turnaround, ERP systems, project performance dashboards, and continuous improvement is relevant.

Compensation

  • The stated salary range is $115,000 to $150,000.
  • Compensation depends on education, experience, skills, internal equity, and geographic region.
