- Lead and manage all mechanical pre construction activities, including design constructability, procurement, contracts, and budget planning
- Develop working relationships, problem solving and driving projects to successful completion
- Manage the design process to achieve client's requirements and manage expectations
- Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems
- Manage project safety and environmental requirements
- Manage project timelines, risks and reporting
- Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep budget on track
- Coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery
- Draft contract documents in accordance with legal approved templates
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management or related field
- A minimum of 10 years project management experience
- Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred
- Professionally qualified in construction, project management, engineering, or architecture
- Thorough understanding of the total project life cycle
- Excellent knowledge of main project management concepts, tools, and techniques
- Advanced Microsoft skills essential; Primavera skills highly regarded

- The Senior Project Manager will act as the key, day to day client interface, ensuring that client objectives are met and that projects are delivered to time and cost targets.

Key Attributes and Duties
- Lead and manage all mechanical pre construction activities, including design constructability, procurement, contracts, and budget planning

- Managing the design process to achieve the client's requirements and manage expectations
- Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems
- Managing project safety and environmental requirements
- Managing project timelines, risks and reporting
- Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
- Being engaged with marketing and business development initiatives
- Co ordinating vendor scope with overall project delivery
- Contract Execution: Drafting contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management or related field
- A minimum of 10 years project management experience
- Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred
- Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, or architecture
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage through to completion
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all the main project management concepts, tools, and techniques
- Design, management or construction experience gained within the general construction environment
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Advanced Microsoft skills are essential, and Primavera skills will be highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
