- Lead and manage all mechanical pre construction activities including design constructability, procurement, contracts, and budget planning
- Develop working relationships, problem solve and drive projects to successful completion
- Manage the design process to achieve client's requirements and manage expectations
- Review project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems
- Manage project safety and environmental requirements
- Manage project timelines, risks and reporting
- Manage project budgets and advise on options to keep budget on track
- Engage with marketing and business development initiatives
- Coordinate vendor scope with overall project delivery
- Draft contract documents in accordance with legal approved templates
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management or related field
- Minimum 10 years project management experience
- Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred
- Professional qualification in construction, project management, engineering, or architecture
- Thorough understanding of total project life cycle
- Excellent knowledge of project management concepts, tools, and techniques
- Advanced Microsoft skills essential; Primavera skills highly regarded
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in high pressure, fast paced environment

Key Attributes and Duties

- Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems.

- Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track.
- Being engaged with marketing and business development initiatives.
- Co ordinating vendor scope with overall project delivery.
- Contract Execution: Drafting contract documents in strict accordance with legal approved contract templates.
- Bring strong communication, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management or related field.
- A minimum of 10 years project management experience.
- Construction consultancy experience strongly preferred.
- Professionally qualified in one of the following fields: construction, project management, engineering, or architecture.
- A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from project conception stage, through all the operational stages to completion and post project review.
- Excellent knowledge and experience of all the main project management concepts, tools, and techniques.
- Design, management or construction experience gained within the general construction environment, ideally residential, office, fit outs and health & education.
- Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment.
- Advanced Microsoft skills are essential, and Primavera skills will be highly regarded.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
