Responsibilities
- Lead procurement activities for MEP construction projects from sourcing through contract award and delivery
- Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and project requirements to identify procurement needs
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve best commercial and technical outcomes
- Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate quotations, and conduct commercial and technical comparisons
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure procurement schedules align with construction programs
- Manage supplier performance, delivery schedules, and compliance with project requirements
- Monitor material submittals, approvals, manufacturing status, and logistics to ensure timely delivery
- Develop and maintain a qualified supplier and subcontractor database
- Support contract negotiations and purchase order administration
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering initiatives
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contractual obligations, and industry standards
- Prepare procurement reports and updates for project and management teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline
- Minimum 8–12 years of procurement experience within MEP contracting and construction projects
- Proven experience on large scale hospitality, commercial, mixed use, or high rise developments
- Strong knowledge of MEP materials, equipment, suppliers, and subcontracting markets
- Experience in procurement planning, vendor management, contract administration, and commercial negotiations
- Ability to review technical documents, specifications, and engineering drawings
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/procurement management systems
- Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC highly preferred
- Fluent English communication skills; Arabic is an advantage

About the Opportunity
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Engineer to join a leading MEP contracting organization delivering a high profile hotel development in Saudi Arabia.
- This role will be responsible for managing the end to end procurement process for MEP materials, equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, cost efficiency, and compliance with project specifications.
- The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting project execution by coordinating with engineering, commercial, and site teams while building strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders.

Working Conditions
- Initial project location: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
- Future assignment may be on projects located in Jeddah or Riyadh.
- Work schedule: Saturday to Thursday (Friday off).
- Standard working hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
- As this is a project driven MEP contracting environment, additional working hours may be required based on project demands and operational requirements.
