FundingPips is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build their internal developer platform and establish best practices. The role involves designing infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service tooling to enable development teams to ship faster.

Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain internal developer platforms and self service tooling that reduce friction and enable development teams to move independently
- Standardize deployment processes and create golden paths for common development workflows (environment provisioning, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure requests)
- Architect and implement infrastructure automation solutions using Terraform, Spacelift, and AWS services to reduce manual toil and improve reliability
- Build and maintain GitOps workflows to enable declarative infrastructure management and streamlined deployments
- Implement observability and monitoring solutions using Datadog to provide visibility into platform health and application performance
- Collaborate with development teams to understand their needs and pain points, then translate those into platform features and improvements
- Reduce environment provisioning time from days to minutes through automation and self service capabilities
- Establish security and compliance standards within platform tooling while maintaining developer velocity
- Contribute to the strategic direction of the platform engineering function as an early team member
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Platform Engineering roles
- Strong expertise with AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and other core services)
- Deep experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, including module development and state management
- Hands on experience with CI/CD tools and pipeline automation (we use GitHub Actions)
- Experience with GitOps practices and declarative infrastructure management
- Strong scripting and automation skills
- Experience building developer tooling, internal platforms, or self service capabilities
- Understanding of observability principles and experience with monitoring platforms (Datadog experience is a plus)
- Strong problem solving skills and ability to design scalable, reliable systems
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse technical teams
