Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Non Motor Claims team, ensuring high performance and adherence to governance standards.
- Exercise final decision making authority on complex, high value, or sensitive claims.
- Oversee end to end Technical Claims Management for Property, Engineering & Construction, Marine, Liability and Financial Lines LOBs.
- Provide strategic technical oversight to the Fast Claims Team in Bahrain.
- Build and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders including brokers, legal firms, loss adjusters, surveyors, and investigators.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Reinsurance, Finance, and Legal teams to support portfolio performance and risk mitigation.
- Lead recovery strategies (e.g., salvage, subrogation) to improve claims cost management.
- Ensure claims function complies with regulatory frameworks, audit requirements, and internal governance standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Insurance, or related discipline
- Minimum 15 years of experience in handling Property, Casualty, Engineering, Construction, Marine and Liability claims
- Knowledge of insurance industry, policies and regulations related to Non Motor claims
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to negotiate complex settlements
- Deep knowledge of legal principles related to insurance claims

Job purpose
- The Senior Non Motor Claims Manager leads the Non Motor Claims team in Dubai, overseeing Property, Engineering & Construction, Marine, Liability, Financial Lines claims.
- Provides technical support to the Bahrain Fast Claims Team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage the Non Motor Claims team.
- Exercise final decision making authority on complex claims.
- Oversee end to end Technical Claims Management for multiple LOBs.
- Provide strategic technical oversight to the Fast Claims Team in Bahrain.
- Build and manage relationships with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Reinsurance, Finance, and Legal teams.
- Lead recovery strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks.
Operational & Technical Responsibilities
- Ensure proper and timely reserving across all claim LOBs.
- Monitor operational discipline and compliance.
- Support team in handling complex claims.
- Maintain consistent documentation quality.
- Facilitate communication with customers and intermediaries.
- Oversee provider performance.
- Assist in preparing management reports and dashboards.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Insurance, or related discipline.
- Min 15 years’ experience in handling Property, Casualty, Engineering, Construction, Marine and Liability claims.
- Knowledge of insurance industry, policies and regulations related to Non Motor claims.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate complex settlements.
- Deep knowledge of legal principles related to insurance claims.
