Job Purpose

  • Develop and manage relationships with SME clients to drive business growth, achieve sales and retention targets, and promote GIG Gulf’s products and services.
  • Identify new business opportunities, generate and maintain a healthy sales pipeline, maximize cross selling opportunities, and deliver exceptional customer service and post sale support.
  • Support portfolio retention and growth, maintain accurate sales activity reporting, assist Client Relationship Managers with client servicing initiatives, and act as a professional ambassador for GIG Gulf.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively prospect for new clients and new business opportunities and/or new distribution channels.
  • Develop and maintain excellent relations with large, SME and/or key customers externally and internally with key stakeholders.
  • Share prospects and business development leads through effective utilization of CRM, Quote Register, New Business Leads and Leads from Personal Lines.
  • Build relationships across the insurance/business community to identify and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Work under own initiative and exercise significant judgment in time allocation to clients.

Operational & Technical Responsibilities

  • Ensure effective management and organization of sales records and analysis to supplement sales planning.
  • Ensure insurance premium is collected in line with company's terms of business, liaising with credit control.
  • Work with underwriting teams to ensure enquiries are accompanied by full underwriting information, competitor rates, and commercial/political information.

Role Requirements

  • Essential: 3 years UAE Insurance Experience.
  • Essential: Sound knowledge of SME products available in the market.
  • Essential: Strong communication, presentation & interpersonal skills.
  • Essential: Demonstrates a strong track record of achieving sales targets/objectives.
  • Essential: Futuristic approach via digital solutions to foster growth opportunities.
  • Desirable: UAE Driving License.
  • Desirable: Exposure to all lines of SME insurance requirements.
  • Desirable: Good network in the market with a diverse SME portfolio of their own.
  • Desirable: Good knowledge of both Health and Property & Casualty lines.
