Senior Network & Security Engineer

Role overview

Implementation and delivery

• Implement network infrastructure from customer requirements, bills of quantities, and approved designs.
• Install and troubleshoot Cisco routers, Catalyst, Meraki MS, Aruba switches, Cisco Firepower, Meraki MX, and ASA.
• Configure Cisco ISE, 802.1X/MAB, posture policies, TACACS+, switching, wireless, and firewall environments.
• Prepare scopes of work, implementation plans, activity schedules, site surveys, migrations, cutovers, and go-live activities.
• Support after-hours change windows when required.

Operations and support

• Provide L2/L3 troubleshooting for bandwidth, latency, connectivity, authentication, and performance issues.
• Perform periodic hardening, configuration backups, and health checks of network and security devices.
• Coordinate with ISPs, vendor TAC, NOC teams, and field engineers to drive issues to resolution with minimal supervision.

Documentation and governance

• Produce and maintain HLD/LLD documents, as-built documentation, runbooks, UAT test plans, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Log and manage work through ServiceNow, Salesforce, or equivalent ticketing and CRM platforms.
• Follow customer change-control processes and project governance standards.

Customer and team engagement

• Act as a trusted technical point of contact for customers during project delivery.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers on implementation best practices.
• Support presales with technical inputs, effort estimates, and proof-of-concept activities.

Required qualifications

• Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent qualification.
• Have at least five years of hands-on enterprise network and security implementation or operations experience.
• Demonstrate delivery experience in multi-site or branch environments.
• Know TCP/IP, OSI, NAT, DHCP, DNS, HSRP, routing protocols, switching, and VPN technologies.
• Have hands-on Cisco ASA or Firepower and Cisco ISE experience, including the specified configuration and policy capabilities.
• Hold an industry certification on relevant technologies.
• Be able to own end-to-end implementations, travel across UAE customer sites, and support occasional after-hours changes.

Additional capabilities

• Working knowledge of cloud networking is a plus.
• Exposure to Check Point, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba ClearPass, or related platforms is advantageous.
• Strong customer-facing communication, documentation, continuous learning, and multi-vendor technology skills are expected.

Work arrangement

• The role involves travel to customer sites across the UAE and field delivery activities.
