Senior Network Engineer – Technical Security, Cloud Networking & SASE

Position Overview

Network Engineering and Security

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available enterprise network architectures.
• Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and network segmentation.
• Troubleshoot complex network performance, connectivity, and availability issues.
• Develop network standards, architecture documentation, and operational procedures.
• Design secure network architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Configure firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, web security, and network access controls.
• Investigate security incidents, perform infrastructure assessments, and identify vulnerabilities.

Cloud and SASE

• Design and support networking across AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud environments.
• Implement secure on-premises-to-cloud connectivity using VPC/VNet architecture, routing, VPN, private endpoints, and dedicated connectivity.
• Design, implement, and operate SASE architectures using ZTNA, SWG, CASB, FWaaS, SD-WAN, and DLP controls.
• Develop identity- and context-based access policies and monitor SASE performance, security events, and user experience.

Incidents and Operations

• Act as a senior escalation point for critical network and security incidents.
• Lead troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, major incident management, and post-incident reviews.
• Maintain incident, problem, and change-management documentation and participate in on-call support when required.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, automation, SIEM integrations, dashboards, and network performance metrics.

Required Technical Skills

• Required networking skills include TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, VXLAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, IPv4/IPv6, load balancing, troubleshooting, and packet analysis.
• Required security skills include next-generation firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, secure remote access, network segmentation, Zero Trust, NAC, SIEM/SOC integration, monitoring, and incident response.
• Required cloud skills include AWS, Azure, or GCP networking, VPC/VNet, cloud routing, VPN, dedicated connectivity, private endpoints, cloud firewalls, hybrid-cloud networking, and SASE technologies.

Education and Experience

• Twelve to fifteen or more years of experience in enterprise networking.
• Strong hands-on experience in network security and cloud networking.
• Experience designing and supporting hybrid-cloud environments.
• Practical experience with SASE technologies or major SASE platforms.
• Experience in large enterprise environments with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management.

Preferred Certifications

• Preferred certifications include CCNP Enterprise or Security, Palo Alto or Fortinet firewall certifications, AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, SASE or Zero Trust vendor certifications, Security+, CISSP, or equivalent.
