Role Summary
The Fortinet Network Engineer designs, deploys, and supports network security infrastructure for clients across the UAE and wider GCC.
The hands-on role covers Fortinet firewall implementation, hardening, ongoing operations, project deployments, and managed security engagements.
The engineer works with SOC, Cloud, and Cybersecurity Sales teams to deliver secure and reliable network environments.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5–6 years of hands-on network security engineering experience focused on Fortinet technologies.
- Experience managing FortiGate firewalls, including HA, VPNs, IPS, antivirus, web filtering, and application control.
- Strong knowledge of routing, switching, VLANs, NAT, and TCP/IP fundamentals.
- NSE 4 certification is required; NSE 5–7 are strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting SOC/MSS operations, incident response, and SLA-driven change management.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently on complex network security issues.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required.
- UAE regional experience, UAE work eligibility, and Arabic are preferred or advantageous.
- Fluent English is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, configure, deploy, and maintain FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP infrastructure.
- Manage firewall policies, VPNs, NAT, routing, and high-availability configurations.
- Perform hardening, firmware upgrades, and patch management.
- Support managed security clients with incident triage, troubleshooting, and change implementation.
- Conduct security assessments and contribute to client reports and remediation plans.
- Collaborate on incident response, threat containment, and vulnerability remediation.
- Support pre-sales designs and technical proposals.
- Maintain documentation, standards, and runbooks.
- Support compliance with ISO 27001, NIST, and PDPL.
- Provide L2/L3 support and escalation handling within SLAs.
