Oracle Sales & Operations Planning and Demand Management — Functional Consultant

Role overview

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate demand review, supply review, pre-S&OP reconciliation, and executive S&OP meetings.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for Oracle Demand Management and S&OP.
• Drive consensus planning across statistical forecasts, sales inputs, and market intelligence.
• Define forecasting hierarchies, planning calendars, KPIs, and exception-management workflows.
• Lead fit-gap analysis, functional design workshops, training, SOP development, and change-management activities.
• Analyze forecast accuracy, bias, MAPE, forecast attainment, and inventory turns.
• Support business cases, ROI analysis, maturity assessments, and client or internal transformation initiatives.

Required qualifications

• 8+ years of supply chain planning experience with functional expertise in S&OP and Demand Management.
• Deep knowledge of statistical forecasting, consensus planning, NPI forecasting, and lifecycle planning.
• Experience designing and facilitating S&OP governance processes, including executive reviews.
• Strong business process orientation and ability to connect functional requirements with system capabilities.
• Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and executive communication skills.
• Experience with workshops, requirements gathering, and process maturity assessments.
• Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion Cloud SCM, Demand Management, and S&OP.
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, or a related field.

Preferred skills

• APICS/CPIM, CSCP, or SCOR certification is preferred.
• MBA is a plus.
• Industry experience in manufacturing, CPG, retail, or life sciences is advantageous.
• Familiarity with IBP, demand-sensing tools, and change management is advantageous.
