Job Summary

The employer is seeking an experienced Senior ABAP Developer for its India office.

The role focuses on developing and maintaining ABAP applications in S/4HANA and Extended Warehouse Management environments.

The developer will design, code, test, and implement ABAP solutions that meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain ABAP applications in S/4HANA and EWM environments.
  • Conduct requirements analysis and design technical specifications.
  • Write efficient, well-structured, and documented ABAP code.
  • Perform unit testing and troubleshooting to ensure high quality.
  • Optimize ABAP applications for performance and scalability.
  • Guide junior developers, conduct code reviews, and collaborate with functional teams and business stakeholders.
  • Stay current with ABAP, S/4HANA, and EWM technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
  • Minimum 8+ years of ABAP development experience.
  • At least one full-lifecycle S/4HANA implementation and one support project experience.
  • Deep knowledge of S/4HANA and SAP EWM.
  • Expertise in ABAP OO, SAP HANA, SAPUI5, Workflows, IDocs, and Interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of EWM processes such as inbound and outbound delivery, picking, and packing.
  • Hands-on experience with the S/4HANA Simplified Data Model and SAP Fiori.
  • Proficiency in legacy ECC ABAP analysis and migration to S/4HANA.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, optimization, communication, and teamwork skills.

Preferred Additional Skills

  • Experience with SAP Cloud Platform and S/4HANA Cloud.
  • Knowledge of the Supply Chain and Logistics domain.
  • Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • SAP certifications such as SAP Certified Development Specialist.
