Role Overview
The Senior Network Engineer works within Group IT on secure enterprise network infrastructure and network security operations.
The role includes technical network engineering, security delivery, and leadership of network engineers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and model secure enterprise LAN/WAN configurations with routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, and SD-WAN.
- Lead, mentor, and train network engineers, delegate tasks, and conduct performance reviews.
- Support monitoring of firewalls, IDPS, and SIEM tools and analyze security alerts.
- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot firewalls, policies, rule sets, and access control lists.
- Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
- Respond to security incidents, perform forensic analysis, and mitigate breaches.
- Conduct security audits and assessments of firewall configurations and security controls.
- Identify network risks and vulnerabilities and implement remediation measures.
- Maintain security documentation and prepare incident, vulnerability, and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with IT teams and share security knowledge and best practices.
Education and Experience
- A Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree is mandatory.
