SENIOR MULTIDISCIPLINE INSPECTOR

Role Overview

Qualifications

• A degree in mechanical, electrical, welding, or metallurgical engineering is required.
• A minimum of 15 years of experience in onshore and offshore oil and gas or petrochemical inspection is required.
• Experience in third-party inspection and verification of welding, process piping, mechanical equipment, painting, coating, wrapping, hydro testing, and advanced NDT methods is required.
• Ability to assess NDT procedures and review and approve multidiscipline ITPs, procedures, site queries, NCRs, and concession requests is required.
• BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 1 certification is required.
• CSWIP 3.2, AWS-Sr, CWI, or ERS welding inspection and PCN Level II qualification is desirable.
• Very good spoken and written English, including technical report, procedure, and QA/QC documentation writing, is required.
• Proven experience liaising with EPC contractors, computer literacy, and familiarity with ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO, and BS codes are required.

Job Description

• Understand vendor and manufacturer quality system requirements.
• Review and verify vendor and manufacturer documents against purchase orders, material specifications, relevant codes, and project specifications.
• Carry out material receiving inspections for permanent project materials supplied by EPC contractors.
• Witness, verify, and endorse procedures and welder qualifications.
• Review and approve Inspection and Test Plans and material certificates.
• Monitor, inspect, and approve welding, welding procedures, NDT work, and post-weld heat treatment.
• Review radiographs and NDT reports and sign weld and NDT logs.
• Inspect pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pressurized piping, and structural works during fabrication.
• Witness hydrostatic and pneumatic testing.
• Inspect surface preparation, painting, and insulation.
• Understand material control, preservation, and storage procedures.
• Raise NCRs, verify corrective and preventive actions, and prepare weekly and monthly inspection reports.
