Role overview

HSE Officer role based in Abu Dhabi with a permanent contract.

The role supports effective implementation of the HSE system across projects and departments.

Minimum qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • At least two years of experience in the safety field is required.
  • Minimum HSE awareness training such as NEBOSH, OSHA, or similar is required.
  • First aid, emergency response, and firefighting training are required.

Technical and communication skills

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Good English communication and presentation skills are required.
  • Clear and succinct written and verbal communication is expected.

HSE responsibilities

  • Ensure awareness and effective implementation of the HSE system.
  • Identify project employee HSE training needs and support continuous improvement.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and hazards and document findings.
  • Follow up corrective actions from inspections and verify compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Maintain the departmental HSE register covering risks, impacts, controls, and procedures.

PPE and project support

  • Oversee PPE issue, selection, monitoring, maintenance, and inspection for on-site employees.
  • Record HSE incidents and accidents within the department.
  • Support project HSE goals and assist with JSA, toolbox meetings, and periodic inspections.
  • Monitor safety awareness and advise the Project Manager on improvement programs.

Behavioral and service expectations

Demonstrate understanding of tasks, timely target achievement, knowledge sharing, teamwork, flexibility, and loyalty.

Respond promptly to customer calls and maintain focus on daily activities.

Show interest in learning developments related to office software.
