Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and engineering development of mechanical systems for large scale building projects
- Prepare, review, and verify design calculations for plumbing, fire fighting, HVAC, chilled water, pumping, and water storage systems
- Perform advanced hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pump head calculations, pressure loss analysis, and system optimization
- Develop and review water demand calculations, fixture unit analysis, storage tank sizing, booster pump selection, and pressure zoning strategies
- Conduct drainage and stormwater network calculations in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes
- Review equipment selections and technical submittals to ensure compliance with design criteria and performance requirements
- Ensure compliance with international standards and codes including ASHRAE, IPC, UPC, NFPA, SBC, BS EN, and local authority requirements
- Coordinate with electrical, ELV, architectural, structural, and BIM teams during design development and project execution stages
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and design team members
- Support value engineering initiatives and propose technically optimized solutions
- Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 10+ years of experience in MEP engineering and building services design
- Strong expertise in plumbing engineering design and hydraulic calculations
- Proven experience in large scale commercial, hospitality, mixed use, healthcare, infrastructure, or mega project developments
- Advanced knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Navisworks, HAP, Elite Software, Pipe Flow / WaterGEMS / Similar Hydraulic Analysis Software
- Strong understanding of BIM coordination processes
- Excellent technical report writing and communication skills
- Professional registration or international certifications considered an advantage

Overview
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong technical background in mechanical design engineering and advanced calculation capabilities across all building mechanical systems.
- The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in developing, reviewing, and validating engineering calculations, ensuring compliance with international standards and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and engineering development of mechanical systems for large scale building projects.
- Prepare, review, and verify design calculations for: Plumbing Systems (Domestic Water, Hot Water, Drainage, Stormwater), Fire Fighting Systems, HVAC Systems, Chilled Water Networks, Pumping Systems, Water Storage and Distribution Systems.
- Perform advanced hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pump head calculations, pressure loss analysis, and system optimization.
- Develop and review water demand calculations, fixture unit analysis, storage tank sizing, booster pump selection, and pressure zoning strategies.
