James L Williams Middle East seeks an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design and coordination of large-scale building services projects in the UAE.

Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design and design review of large scale projects across commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, retail, industrial, and mixed use developments.
- Deliver technically sound engineering solutions for HVAC, Plumbing Water, Plumbing Drainage, LPG, and Fire Fighting systems.
- Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary design teams, including design engineers, CAD technicians, and support personnel.
- Conduct independent design reviews, technical assessments, and quality checks to ensure compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Analyze complex engineering challenges and develop practical, value engineered solutions.
- Prepare and review engineering calculations, technical reports, specifications, BOQs, and design documentation.
- Provide technical support during equipment selection, procurement activities, and techno commercial evaluations.
- Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, consultants, utility authorities, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Represent JLW in design coordination meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
- Ensure all engineering deliverables are completed within project schedules while maintaining quality and compliance standards.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional growth within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 8 years of experience in design of building services projects
- Proven experience delivering mechanical designs for commercial, residential, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, retail, or mixed use developments
- Strong design experience in HVAC, Plumbing Water, Plumbing Drainage, LPG, and Fire Fighting systems
- Experience leading multidisciplinary design projects and coordinating with clients, consultants, architects, and utility authorities
- Strong knowledge of local and international mechanical design codes, standards, and industry best practices
- Experience preparing design packages including drawings, specifications, BOQs, and procurement documentation
- Proficiency in Hevacomp, IESVE, CYMAP, AutoCAD, and Revit
- Strong communication, leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven experience in Data Centre and Mission Critical projects
