About the Role
Al Sahraa Group is seeking a Senior Material Technician for immediate joining on ZAKUM artificial islands. The role involves receiving, storing, and issuing drilling materials and spare parts, ensuring proper storage and documentation, and assisting with inventory audits.

Responsibilities
- Receive copies of purchase orders for Drilling materials, general materials, equipment and spare parts to be received on ZAKUM artificial islands. Upon receipt of goods, identify and store.
- Receive materials returned from operational areas. Ensure correct documentation and inform Logistic Supervisor.
- Ensure storage and protection of materials in accordance with Company procedures and manufacturers recommendations.
- Ensure good housekeeping and adherence to safety standards, codes and practices.
- Follow up on inspection of materials forwarded to Supply Equipment Engineers and/or Test Certificate requirements.
- Updating and maintaining daily logbooks.
- Produce reports on turnover of stock items and assist with inventory audits.
- Receive material or requisition from relevant department, prepare asset movement voucher.
- Ensure issuance of all materials, spares, equipment as required for drilling/operations within specified period.
- Carry out special assignments such as Construction Materials, Surplus Identification and Inventory, rearrangement of materials.
- Ensure Waste Management Area is handled safely and kept tidy.
- Prepare Consignment Note with details of scrap weight, type of Container indicating hazardous classification.
Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School
- 7+ years experience in similar related jobs, preferably in Oil Companies
- Good technical knowledge of materials
- Good working knowledge of English language
- Knowledge of computerized systems is essential, preferably of Material Management System

Principal Accountabilities
- Receive copies of purchase orders for Drilling materials, general materials, equipment and spare parts to be received on ZAKUM artificial islands. Upon receipt of goods, identify and store.
- Receive materials returned from operational areas. Ensure that correct documentation is received/raised and inform the Logistic Supervisor of receipt and, where applicable, the need for inspection. Decide, with reference to departmental procedures, whether items should or should not be accepted into
- Ensure the storage and protection of materials in accordance with specific requirements determined by Company procedures and/or manufacturers recommendations for the protection and preservation of materials. Ensure the sensitive or volatile materials are stored in temperature controlled storage area
- Ensure good housekeeping and adherence to safety standards, codes and practices.
- Follow up on the inspection of materials forwarded to Supply Equipment Engineers and/or Test Certificate requirements, as specified in the Purchase Orders.
- Updating and maintaining daily logbooks.
- Produce reports on the turnover of stock items and assist with inventory audits.
- Receive material or requisition from relevant department, prepare asset movement voucher based on information received.
- Ensure the Issuance of all materials, spares, equipment, etc. as required for drilling/operations within a specified period.
- Carry out special assignments such as Construction Materials, Surplus Identification and Inventory, rearrangement of materials, equipment and spares, preparation of materials for special projects.
- Ensure that the Waste Management Area is handled safely and kept tidy as follows: ZAKUM artificial island generated scrap segregated / labeled and loaded onto Containers to be sent to Mussafah.
- Prepare Consignment Note with details of scrap weight, type of Container indicating hazardous classification. Record the details of each shipment of wastes and prepare monthly statement to UZ750 LG.
Minimum Requirements
- Completion of Secondary School 7+ years experience in similar related jobs, preferably in Oil Companies
- Good technical knowledge of materials.
- Good working knowledge of English language.
- Knowledge of computerized systems is essential, preferably of Material Management System.
