- Conduct inspections of all lifting equipment, including cranes, hoists, and rigging gear, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Perform visual and non destructive testing to identify any defects or potential hazards.
- Review and approve all lifting plans and procedures, ensuring they are in line with company policies and industry best practices.
- Monitor and document all lifting activities, providing guidance and support to the lifting team as needed.
- Conduct pre and post lift inspections, including load testing, to ensure the safe operation of all lifting equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of all inspections and provide detailed reports to management.
- Identify and report any safety concerns or hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations, and ensure the company's lifting operations are in compliance at all times.
- Participate in safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the company.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Lifting Inspector in the oil and gas industry.
- Valid LEEA or equivalent certification.
- Strong knowledge of lifting equipment, rigging, and safe lifting practices.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations, including LOLER and API RP 2D.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards.
- Willingness to work in an offshore environment for extended periods of time.
- Flexibility to work on a rotational schedule, including weekends and holidays if required.
