Role Purpose

Technical Solutions and System Design

• Support commercial teams with innovative and cost-effective technical solutions, proposals, and initiatives.
• Design medium- to large-scale systems and programs based on customer requirements.
• Implement approved designs and resolve technical challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
• Apply engineering standards to requirements definition, equipment specification, product evaluation, link budget analysis, acceptance testing, and technical documentation.

Project and Program Management

• Lead assigned projects and initiatives within specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate technical, commercial, and operational objectives.
• Identify and mitigate technical and programmatic risks during execution.

Customer and Supplier Management

• Manage customer and supplier relationships to support effective collaboration and successful project delivery.
• Maintain customer satisfaction and strong supplier engagement.

Operations Handover and Service Continuity

• Ensure completed projects transition smoothly to the Operations and Maintenance team.
• Prepare documentation packages and deliver training sessions as required.

Innovation and Leadership

• Support adoption of emerging technologies and retirement of obsolete systems.
• Recommend improvements to technical performance, efficiency, and scalability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote knowledge sharing and continuous professional development.

Qualifications and Experience

• A master’s degree in Telecommunications or an equivalent field is required.
• Strong RF systems experience, including RF or antenna systems, modems, and link budgets, is required.
• 12–15 years of relevant satellite or telecommunications industry experience in similar functions is required.
• Military SATCOM and defense industry experience is required.

Technical Requirements

• Expert-level knowledge of satellite communications and operations, payload and subsystem technologies, RF engineering, satellite network management, ground segment design and deployment, military-grade terminals, and satellite integration and testing.
• Advanced systems engineering and satellite product development expertise across detailed design, integration, testing, and transition to Operations and Maintenance.
• Strong project and team management capabilities, including staff development, budgeting, and risk management, with complex SATCOM delivery experience.
• PMP, ITIL, PRINCE2 certification, or a business degree would be considered a plus.
