Role Purpose

Responsibilities

• Perform daily manoeuvre planning, orbit determination, and orbital event prediction.
• Prepare analyses and reports on close approaches, propellant, and Orbital Manoeuvre Life.
• Improve flight dynamics processes and automation workflows and support software validation and testing.
• Support spacecraft operations during aborted manoeuvres and anomalies and participate in on-call coverage.
• Provide flight dynamics training and maintain training materials and qualified trainers.
• Provide LEO constellation operations expertise covering orbit maintenance, formation management, collision avoidance, re-entry prediction, and performance monitoring.
• Perform future mission analysis covering constellation design, disposal planning, manoeuvre strategy, and operational concepts.
• Develop internal automation, data analysis, and reporting tools.

Qualifications and Experience

• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mathematics, Physics, or a related engineering field.
• At least four years of experience as a Flight Dynamics Engineer in satellite operations companies.

Technical Requirements

• Experience with station keeping, orbit determination, manoeuvre calibration, orbital event prediction, propellant accounting, and contingency activities.
• Understanding of orbital dynamics, satellite manoeuvres, orbit determination, space weather, mathematics, and physics.
• Understanding of spacecraft subsystems, telemetry, commanding, ranging, and communications security.
• Understanding of ground station operations, tracking data, close approach analysis, ephemeris preparation, and orbital visualization.
• Knowledge of LEO orbit maintenance, collision avoidance manoeuvres, and contingency operations.
• Understanding of Python, Git and version control, testing, APIs, data processing, and operational reporting.
• Knowledge of CCSDS standards and tools such as STK is included in the technical requirements.
