The Senior Manager – Strategic Commercial Contracts is responsible for overseeing and managing critical and complex strategic commercial contracts.
The role ensures alignment with organizational objectives, compliance with governance requirements, and effective risk management.
This position requires advanced expertise in contract negotiation, lifecycle management, and commercial strategy, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with senior internal stakeholders and external partners
1. Contract Strategy and Management (40%)
- Develop and implement strategic contract management frameworks, processes, and procedures.
- Manage the full lifecycle of strategic commercial contracts, including renewals, amendments, and terminations.
- Support the negotiation and execution of high-value and complex contracts (e.g., concession, service, partnership, and commercial agreements) with significant financial value.
- Ensure all contracts align with organizational objectives, governance standards, compliance requirements, and risk management policies.
- Support commercial and contracts teams during tender processes by preparing and reviewing relevant tender and contractual documentation.
2. Stakeholder Management (20%)
- Partner with senior leadership, legal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand business requirements and objectives.
- Provide expert guidance on contractual terms, conditions, and commercial implications.
- Act as a liaison between the organization and external commercial partners, supporting effective collaboration and issue resolution.
3. Risk Management (20%)
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with strategic commercial contracts.
- Conduct periodic contract reviews and audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
4. Performance Monitoring (10%)
- Monitor contract performance and supplier/partner deliverables to ensure obligations are met.
- Address and resolve contractual issues or disputes throughout the contract lifecycle.
5. Reporting and Documentation (10%)
- Maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date contract records and documentation.
- Prepare and present reports on contract performance, risk exposure, and strategic opportunities to senior management.
Experience
- Overall Experience: 5–7 years of professional experience.
- Relevant Experience: 3–5 years in contracts management, commercial contracting, governance, or compliance roles.

Education
- Bachelor’s Degree
Specialization
- Business Administration, Governance, Contracts, or a related discipline
Professional Certifications

- Knowledge of local laws, governance frameworks, and compliance requirements.
- Advanced contract negotiation, review, and administration expertise.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- High attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to think strategically and respond effectively to changing business demands.
- Proficiency in contract management systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Communication & Working Relationships
- Regular interaction with middle and senior management, legal teams, and external commercial partners.
- High level of influence, including the ability to negotiate, resolve issues, and support achievement of critical business objectives.
