Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain integrated safety, health, and environmental management systems and policies aligned with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential workplace hazards and implement preventive and corrective measures
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian labor laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and environmental legislation
- Oversee the development and delivery of comprehensive safety training programs for all organizational levels
- Manage safety performance metrics, analyze trends, and prepare strategic reports for senior management and regulatory bodies
- Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance with safety, health, and environmental standards
- Collaborate with operational teams and senior leadership to integrate safety practices into daily work processes
- Maintain and update safety documentation, records, and regulatory filings
- Represent the organization in dealings with regulatory authorities and external stakeholders on safety and environmental matters
- Lead cross functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives in safety and environmental performance
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to safety, health, and environmental objectives
Requirements
- Minimum 15+ years of professional experience in safety, health, and environmental management, with at least 7 years in a senior management or leadership capacity
- Comprehensive knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, environmental management standards, and Saudi Arabian labor laws
- Proven expertise in developing, implementing, and managing integrated safety management systems and programs across large scale operations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to assess complex safety and environmental issues at strategic levels
- Extensive experience conducting risk assessments, hazard analyses, incident investigations, and root cause analysis
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities with proven ability to influence, mentor, and motivate cross functional teams and senior stakeholders
- Advanced proficiency in data analysis, safety metrics interpretation, and performance indicator management
- Fluent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic language skills are preferred
- Advanced experience with safety management software, tools, and digital compliance platforms
- Certification in ISO 45001 or ISO 14001
- Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent recognized safety qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in audit and compliance management with regulatory bodies
