About the Role
ADNOC Group seeks a Senior Internal Auditor to perform audit engagements from preplanning to wrap-up, applying risk and control concepts. The role includes assisting in risk assessments, developing audit plans, executing audits, preparing reports, and coordinating with management.

Responsibilities
- Perform assigned audit engagements from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning and wrap up activities
- Assist in periodic Risk Assessments and development of Risk Based Work Plans
- Develop process understanding of assigned business processes and determine objectives, risks, and controls
- Prepare audit reports with conclusions and recommendations for improvement
- Follow up on replies to audit reports and review adequacy of corrective actions
- Participate in special committees to provide independent and objective professional advice
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Finance/Auditing or relevant discipline
- 8 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, with varied experience in oil and gas operations
- Familiarity with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF) and other standards
- Experience in managing and tracking time for different Internal Audit related activities
- Proficiency in utilising various business applications to gather/verify information
- High interpersonal skills in line with the Corporate Role
- Audit Certifications (e.g. CA, CPA, CIA, CISA, ACCA, CIMA)

Job Purpose
- Perform assigned audit engagements, from start to finish, inclusive of preplanning and wrap up activities.
- Apply risk and control concepts to scenarios encountered and identify any potential issues.
- Assist in periodic Risk Assessments and development of Risk Based Work Plans and periodic reporting.
Job Specific Accountabilities
- Participate in promoting the establishment and continuous improvement of the Corporate Governance Framework.
- Assist in the development of Annual Audit Plan based on risk assessment.
- Develop process understanding and detailed audit program / Risk & Control Matrix.
- Determine auditing procedures and ensure adequate working papers are documented.
- Perform audit in accordance with approved audit program and ensure objectives are met.
- Prepare working papers and appraise adequacy of corrective actions.
- Participate in conducting special reviews and administrative duties.
- Supervise audits performed by Internal Auditors and ensure quality standards.
- Identify high risk areas and key control points.
- Prepare audit reports with conclusions and recommendations.
- Follow up on replies to audit reports and review corrective actions.
- Assist in arranging Audit Committee meetings and preparing agenda and minutes.
Minimum Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor Degree in Finance/Auditing or relevant discipline.
- 8 years of relevant experience in internal auditing, with varied experience in oil and gas operations.
- Familiarity with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).
- Experience in managing and tracking time for different Internal Audit related activities.
- Proficiency in utilising various business applications to gather/verify information.

Work Condition
- Physical Effort: Minimal.
- Work Environment: Normally air conditioned environment, but exposed to prevailing weather conditions while in operating sites/field visits.
