Role Overview
Airswift is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to work with a client based in Qatar.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
- At least six years of experience in an oil and gas environment is required.
- Working knowledge of DCS, PLCs, ESD and Fire & Gas systems, anti-surge control systems, metering systems, and turbine or compressor control systems is required.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP, CONVAL, and InstruCal are required.
- Full knowledge of safety integrity level requirements is required.
Engineering Responsibilities
- Plan and support instrumentation and Fire & Gas engineering activities during EPC and startup through handover to the permanent asset team.
- Ensure project deliverables meet operations expectations for safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support surveillance and administration programs for critical instrumentation and Fire & Gas systems.
- Provide engineering support for design reviews, SIL workshops, assessments, verification, HAZOP, commissioning, startup, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Support instrumentation and Fire & Gas integrity program implementation.
- Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions.
- Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in integrity and reliability systems.
