Role Overview
Airswift is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to work with a client based in Qatar.
The role supports instrumentation and Fire & Gas engineering through EPC, startup, commissioning, integrity, and handover activities.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering is required.
- At least six years of experience in an oil and gas environment is required.
- Working knowledge of DCS, PLCs, ESD and F&G systems, anti-surge control systems, metering systems, and turbine or compressor control systems is required.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office, SAP, CONVAL, and InstruCal are required.
- Full knowledge of safety integrity level requirements is required.
Engineering and Delivery
- Plan and support instrumentation and Fire & Gas engineering at Senior Engineer level through EPC and startup until handover.
- Ensure deliverables meet Operations expectations for safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support SIL workshops, assessments and verification, HAZOP, commissioning, startup, failure analysis, and advanced troubleshooting.
- Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions.
Integrity and Reliability
- Support surveillance and administration programs for critical Instrument and F&G systems.
- Support reliability, availability, and cybersecurity objectives for critical systems.
- Support implementation of Instrument and F&G integrity programs.
- Maintain an issue register and resolve risks affecting reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.
Project and Commissioning Support
- Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in integrity and reliability systems.
- Support project tie-in requirements for systems under responsibility.
- Support high-risk commissioning, system surveillance, tuning, optimization, and advisory support for Operations and Maintenance.
