Role Overview
Airswift is seeking a Senior Instrumentation Engineer to work with a client based in Qatar.
The role supports instrumentation and Fire & Gas engineering during EPC and startup through handover.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Six years of experience in an oil and gas environment.
- Working knowledge of DCS, PLCs, ESD and Fire & Gas systems, anti-surge control systems, metering systems, and turbine and compressor control systems.
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office, SAP, CONVAL, and InstruCal.
- Full knowledge of Safety Integrity Level requirements.
Engineering Responsibilities
- Plan and support instrumentation and Fire & Gas engineering activities during EPC and startup through handover.
- Ensure project deliverables meet Operations expectations for safety, operability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Support surveillance and administration programs for critical instrumentation and Fire & Gas systems.
- Provide engineering support for design reviews, SIL workshops, HAZOP, commissioning, startup, failure analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Support instrumentation and Fire & Gas integrity program implementation.
- Provide technical input to other disciplines and functions.
- Supervise contractors, consultants, and service providers.
- Guide less experienced engineers in integrity and reliability systems.
- Support project tie-in requirements for systems under responsibility.
- Maintain an issue register for critical issues and risks affecting reliability, availability, and cybersecurity.
- Support high-risk commissioning activities, system surveillance, tuning, optimization, and advisory support to Operations and Maintenance.
