Role Overview
MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst (QA) for a 12-month contract role with a client in Calgary.
The role supports quality assurance, functional analysis, product delivery, and collaboration among business, technical, change management, and vendor teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test plans and cases, oversee UAT, and support SIT/UAT testing.
- Triage issues, perform root cause analysis, and maintain test traceability and change documentation.
- Analyze QA data to identify metrics, KPIs, and business insights.
- Lead workshops to gather and validate requirements and define functionality scope.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and liaise with business, technical, and vendor teams.
- Manage epics, user stories, tasks, and backlogs in support of Scrum and project delivery.
- Create current-state and future-state process diagrams.
- Identify product delivery gaps and opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Validate vendor design documents for consistency and completeness.
- Support training, communications, operational readiness, and cutover planning.
- Continue supporting product design and development as business and market needs evolve.
