Position Overview
MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Functional Analyst for a 12-month contract role with a client in Calgary.
The role supports product delivery and solution design in the electrical utility sector.
Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder workshops, gather and validate requirements, and define functionality scope.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements and act as a liaison across business, technical, and vendor teams.
- Manage epics, user stories, tasks, and backlogs in support of Scrum and project delivery.
- Create as-is and to-be process diagrams and identify opportunities for enhancements and efficiencies.
- Support quality assurance, technical teams, change management, vendor design validation, and solution delivery.
- Support system and user acceptance testing, issue triage, root cause analysis, and implementation activities.
- Maintain requirements, functional specifications, traceability, and change documentation.
- Lead solution validation, facilitate consensus, and analyze data for metrics, KPIs, and business insights.
- Support training, communications, operational readiness, cutover planning, and ongoing product development.
Requirements
- 10 or more years of experience in business analysis or a related role.
- Experience with product teams using user stories, backlog management, and sprints.
