This is not a support or an implementation engineering role. It’s a high-visibility, high-ownership position designed for builders who want to solve real customer problems, move fast, and shape the future of our product and company.
About the Team
At Clutch, we work alongside the Credit Units to develop customized solutions that solve their most critical business challenges. The Forward Deployed Engineering team plays a key role in driving client success by ensuring our products are deployed, configured, and optimized for each CUs unique environment.
We are looking for highly skilled engineers who enjoy engaging with clients, solving complex problems, and being instrumental in bringing innovative solutions to life. We collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our products are not only technically sound but also aligned with client goals and expectations.
Within 3 months, you will
Ramp up on Clutch’s products, processes, deployment playbooks and customer base.
Develop a deep understanding of our clients’ infrastructure, business objectives, and technical needs.
Begin deploying and customizing solutions with internal and external partners.
Within 6 months, you will
Independently lead deployments and integrations.
Troubleshoot and support production environments.
Become a trusted technical advisor to customers and key stakeholders.
Within 9 months, you will
Own large-scale deployments and complex rollouts ensuring alignment with client goals and successful delivery.
Provide structured feedback to the product and engineering teams based on customer interactions and needs.
Drive improvements to deployment processes for scalability and client satisfaction
What You’ll Bring
7+ years of software engineering, with strong command of TypeScript across the full stack (Node.js backend, React frontend).
Uses AI tooling natively as part of your engineering workflow.
Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS , Azure , or Google Cloud .
Ability and interest to travel up to 50%, as needed to client sites, but flexible based on personal preferences.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate production systems
Solid understanding of deployment, integration, and troubleshooting in production environments.
Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Bias for action and a client-first mindset.
